The Greatest Gift

Oh, my dear Lord,

To You I pray.

 My blessings are many,

For what may I want?

Christmas is coming,

As I prepare my list.

 But, I’m embarrassed to ask,

When so many are in want.

Guide me, Oh Lord,

What do You ask of me?

You know how selfish I am,

Is there hope for me?

I plead dear Lord,

May Your wisdom be mine?

Let Your angels guide me,

And lead me to do Your will.

My heart senses Your presence,

Lord, I hear Your voice?

Oh yes, I know You are here.

 I’m listening to You.

What are You saying?

I have the greatest

This gift is what?

Your Son, “Jesus”!

I’m sorry Lord,

How easily I forget.

 Thank you, Lord,

For the greatest gift.

Merry Christmas
