"All Christians in any state or walk of life are
called to the fullness of Christian life and to the perfection of
charity." (Lumen gentium, 40/2.)
All are called to holiness: "Be perfect, as your
heavenly Father." -Mt 5:48 On these web pages, I offer a personal account of my spiritual journey. How this documentation began
is outlined in the section
Introduction. Personal experiences on my
journey along with references to holiness are included in
the twenty sections listed in Table
of Contents.
Every Christian is
called to a life of holiness, to union with God through Christ. You can
attain holiness or live a spiritual life right where you are. For most,
this is in marriage and family life. You don't have to leave it to
become holy. God comes to you in the web of all your relationships,
roles, and responsibilities. Here is where you can grow toward "ever
more intimate union with Christ," which is how the
Catechism of the
Catholic Church
describes holiness.
